Our History

Indian River Christian School was established in 1986 as a ministry of Central Assembly of God in Vero Beach.  The school began with two kindergarten classes and now goes through eighth grade.  Indian River Christian School is dedicated to providing quality education in Indian River County to assist parents in training their children according to God's Word.

Our Philosophy

Indian River Christian School exist to provide children an opportunity to develop mind, soul, and body in a Christian environment.  Since the Bible teaches that God is the Creator of all life and matter, all wisdom and knowledge must begin there.  We believe that His Word, the Holy Bible, is His revelation of Himself to mankind.  We believe that personal faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, is essential to becoming a member of god's family.

We believe that each student must develop the spiritual insight, the academic integrity, and the moral and physical strength needed to living his life as a citizen and effective Christian, putting God first in all things and willingly submitting to those in authority.  Indian River Christian School is established to comply with God's directive to:  "Raise up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, hw will not depart form it."  Proverbs 22:6.

It is the objective of Indian River Christian School to reach all students at their individual level and motivate them to achieve their maximum academic potential.  Cooperation of home, school, and church is essential to attain this goal.

Our Purpose and Goals

The principle objective and purpose of Indian River Christian School is to afford students with quality education while training them in the knowledge of God and the Christian way of life.

The teachers of Indian River Christian School acknowledge their responsibility before God in molding the life and character of each student in order to prepare a moral foundation for each child’s future. Our goal is that students develop their own Christian convictions and be what God wants them to be as individuals.

We strive to bring each child to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, through the personal experience of receiving Christ as their Savior. It is also our desire to teach each child to be a champion in the eyes of God.

While we endeavor to provide the finest education for your children by way of faculty and curriculum, we encourage you as the parent(s) to assume an active role at home. This is accomplished by taking a share in your child’s development, as well as making yourselves available for special school functions and activities. Remember, your children desire to please you, therefore, support them in every way possible, and they will be successful.
