A History in the Making...

Central Assembly was founded by Rev. Norfleet Jones and 21 others on October 5, 1965.

In July of 1975, Pastor Buddy Tipton became the fourth pastor of Central Assembly. There was an immediate kinship between Buddy and the congregation. There had been many prophecies over the years that Central would be a lighthouse in this community.  Under the leadership of Pastor Buddy, the congregation saw many of those prophecies fulfilled.

As one of the more tenured Pastors in Indian River County, Pastor Buddy has served in an Apostolic capacity for many area pastors and congregations.  As this Apostolic calling grew, the Lord began to plant a new vision in Pastor Buddy’s heart; a vision to grow through multiplication.

The Lord placed the desire in Pastor Buddy’s heart to “raise up and release sons into ministry.”  This process of “raising up sons” began with a new emphasis on evangelistic cell groups.  In 2003, Central Assembly began training and releasing into ministry the Body of believers.

As the cell ministries began to grow, we saw mechanics, doctors, carpenters, and people from all walks of life “Making Disciples Who Make Disciples!”  Today, over 120 cell pastors are meeting in homes, restaurants, and workplaces throughout the Treasure Coast.
