Strategies…. Whose Do You Follow?

By Mavis Tipton

Recently a new movie was released in the local theaters, and it was a box-office hit.  The first week it played it knocked the number one movie out of the #1 spot.  That move is “War Room.”  If you have not seen it, I encourage you and your family to do so.

It has a story line of course, but the meat of the movie is about the power of prayer.  It is powerful; you really don’t want to miss seeing it.

Priscilla Shirer plays the lead role in the movie.  She did a phenomenal job, but more than that she is a Christian woman with a passion for seeing women meet God in a powerful, personal way, through conferences, books and Bible studies.

Her book Fervent is a “Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer.

Prayer is the most powerful tool the Lord has given us. Like other tools how often do we use it?  Daily anywhere and everywhere, at church, only as needed or when we happen to think about it, or when there is a crisis?

1 Thess. 5:17 “Pray without ceasing.”  If it is our nature to send up a prayer no matter where we are or what we are doing, we are then doing battle against the schemes of the devil, and being obedient to the Lord.

Don’t think for a moment that Satan isn’t strategizing on how to take down God’s children, because he is.  We as God’s children need to be alert and aware of his strategies, recognize them and pray against them.

You do not need to live in fear; we live in victory, hope, grace and love.  God gives His children confidence, so dear sisters walk in the confidence that belongs to you.

Our instruction book the Bible will guide you in how to prayer.  Step out in faith and watch God move on your behalf.

Make yourself familiar with God’s strategies.  Go into your prayer closet and take back what the enemy has stolen from you.  Take authority over your family, finances, passion, focus, identity, confidence, calling, heart and relationships.

Ladies we are an army not to be reckoned with.  We serve the Most High God and we mean business.  So put on the whole armor of God Eph. 6:1-18.

May we be Fervent in our prayers, as we do battle against the enemy.

Be strategic for the Lord. Pray for your family, church, country and the world with a deliberate prayer strategy of your own.

I love you dear sisters in the Lord and it is an honor to go into battle with you.

2 Chron. 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear form heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Please feel free to leave comments and prayer requests.
