Get Mad, Not Sad

“Get Mad, Not Sad”

 By Mavis Tipton

Have you ever gone through a trial, a battle, a difficult time and you feel that Satan the enemy is winning the battle?

I believe most all of us have at one time or another, and some of you are going through that right now, but here is the Good News!

Over the years I have prayed not only for myself, but for others, and one of the common things I hear is; “I get depressed because I don’t see victory.”

Several years ago I was going through a difficult time.  As I was praying the Lord showed me what the enemy was doing, and the stronghold he had.

I got so mad at the devil, and I began praying like I had never prayed before.  I was doing spiritual warfare.  I was mad and I intended to see the enemy release the hold he had. I would pray at home and often when I was walking at the park, I was praying and doing battle.

I am here to tell you that Satan had no choice, he had to let go and he did. Victory was won, because I chose to get mad and do battle, rather than get sad and let go.

If you want or desire something enough you will fight for it.

1 Peter 5:8-9 “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Resist him, steadfast in the faith, …”

We are to take an active stance against the Adversary’s operations.  Because of the Devil’s aggressive hostility, Christians must be spiritually alert, not only to withstand his attacks, but in prayer and spiritual warfare opposing him.  (From Spirit Filled Life Bible footnotes).

Doing battle can be exhausting, but it is so worth the battle, when we walk in victory, when we see lives being changed, when we see the Devil defeated.

Victory belongs to God’s children.  Jesus paid the price.  SO GET MAD NOT SAD!
